A Chinese woman charged for stealing goat testicals in Kiambu

By Yvonne Chebeni, Nairobi

An expectant Chinese woman Lei Yunyan in Kiambu law Courts has been charged for allegedly stealing and selling goat testicles worth Ksh 6M on Monday 15.

Claims are that Lei Yunyan had acquired the goat’s testicles from Marsa Goto Ado between September 1, 2022 and November 23,  last year through fraud where she exported it.

She applied for a cash bail that was almost denied by prosecutor Lindsey Mugambi stating that “Lei Yunyan is a foreigner and her potential flight risks.”

Lindsey further stated that the court should consider the gravity of the case and the amount of money involved in the case.

Lei Yunyan denied the charges against her pleading with the court to sympathize with her since she is pregnant. She was released on cash bail of Ksh 500,000 or alternative 1M bond with pending trial.

She was given a condition alongside her bail out that she had to give the court her travel documents and her passport.

Marsa Goto Ado stated that he had supplied 804 kgs of and 113.2kgs of goat parts to Golden pacific Company where Lei Yunyan represents but he hasn’t received payment from them despite his many attempts to get paid.

The case will be mentioned on April 5, this year and 5 witnesses are yet to testify in the case once hearing begins.
