Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has urged residents of Malava Constituency to rally behind the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) in the upcoming parliamentary by-election.
Addressing over 3,000 teachers from across the constituency, Mudavadi reiterated the Kenya Kwanza administration’s commitment to supporting a UDA candidate to succeed the late MP Malulu Injendi, who passed away earlier this year.
While he did not endorse any specific aspirant, Mudavadi pledged full backing for the party’s eventual nominee. He stressed the importance of electing a leader with integrity, a sense of justice, and a commitment to public service.

“It is time for Malava to set the pace, to demonstrate to the government what good leadership looks like and to reflect the bigger picture,” he said.
The Prime Cabinet Secretary also called for a transparent and credible nomination process and urged residents to support a candidate capable of delivering effective representation.
Framing the by-election as a critical political moment, Mudavadi described it as an opportunity for Malava to make a meaningful choice. “It’s time to ask yourselves where you stand politically. UDA, under President William Ruto, stands for transformative leadership—improving roads, education, agriculture, and creating real opportunities for our people,” he stated.
He warned against political indecision, noting that hesitation or choosing the wrong path could derail development efforts. “Being on the wrong path makes development more costly and advancement harder,” he cautioned.
