Joseph Waswa Foundation held a free medical camp at Kuywa Market in C
Sitikho Ward, marking its second such initiative after a successful camp in Miendo Market, Bokoli Ward
Speaking during the event, Moses Wamoto, aide to renowned Webuye-based philanthropist and politician Joseph Lendrix Waswa, highlighted the foundation’s commitment to offering free medical and surgical services to underserved communities
Wamoto revealed that although the team initially targeted around 100 residents, turnout exceeded expectations, a clear indication of the pressing healthcare needs in the area.
“We had aimed to serve about 100 people, but the number has already surpassed that, this shows how much such services are needed on the ground,” said Wamoto
He emphasized that all medical operations are conducted by certified and registered medical personnel, in full compliance with Ministry of Health regulations.

“So far, we have identified 15 surgical cases and our ambulance has safely transferred those patients to Max-Care Hospital for further treatment and admission,” Wamoto added
To ensure transparency, Wamoto assured residents that all medications used are sourced from the Ministry of Health, and urged anyone with concerns to visit the foundation’s offices for clarification.
Looking ahead, Wamoto called on the county government to prioritize the equipping of ward-level dispensaries with essential equipment and medication
He further appealed for greater collaboration between the foundation and local health facilities across Webuye West Constituency to enhance access to quality healthcare services
