Farmbid Africa representative Mr. Edwin Enarach has urged farmers in Teso North and across Busia County to take advantage of an upcoming agricultural exhibition to showcase their products at a 50% discount. The event is scheduled for Friday, May 2, 2025, at the ATC Grounds in Busia Town.
Mr. Enarach, who also serves as the Head of Waste Management at Malaba Municipality, said grants will be available to individuals and groups registered on the Farmbid Africa platform.
He announced that Farmbid Africa will also be launching its digital applications during the event. The apps will enable farmers to access a global market through online stores tailored to their farm produce.
“All stakeholders in the agricultural value chain will be part of the Farmbid Africa initiative,” he noted.
Enarach, a resident of Malaba Central Ward and a 2027 MCA candidate, emphasized his commitment to partnering with like-minded organizations to improve existing infrastructure in the area.
Commenting on recent local developments, he lauded the launch of a welfare association by Teso North Deputy County Commissioner Solomon Kitahi, calling it “a great milestone for the community.”
He also appealed to area Members of Parliament to expedite the release of bursary funds to needy students, noting that schools have already reopened and delays could disrupt their education.
