For years, pupils at Elukanji Comprehensive School in Mundobelwa Sub-location, Kisa North Ward, squeezed into overcrowded classrooms, battling noise, heat, and distraction that often undermined their learning.
That is now set to change after Khwisero MP Christopher Aseka officially handed over a new storey tuition block, constructed with support from the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF).
The new facility will not only shelter learners from congestion but also provide a serene and conducive environment expected to boost academic performance.
“This tuition block is proof of our commitment to giving our children a decent place to learn. We want every Khwisero child to have an equal opportunity to succeed in education,” Aseka said during the handing-over ceremony.
While celebrating the milestone, the legislator also used the platform to caution against a growing menace – individuals exploiting school children.
He condemned such acts as shameful, warning that they rob learners of their future.
“I have instructed the OCPD and other officers to deal with anyone found idling with a schoolchild. We cannot allow predators to destroy the future of our children,” he declared, urging parents and community members to be more vigilant.

The MP praised bodaboda riders for their role in protecting learners, noting that their vigilance and prompt reporting of suspicious activities had rescued many children from harm. “Our bodaboda community has been at the forefront in championing the rights of our children. They are the eyes and ears of the community, and I call upon them to continue working with the police,” he said.
Aseka reaffirmed his commitment to education, pledging to expand facilities and strengthen partnerships to ensure every learner in Khwisero achieves their dreams.
“Education remains the best heritage we can give our children. Together, we can make Khwisero a model constituency where all children have an opportunity to shine,” said Mr Aseka
