The energy was palpable as the caravan light-up rolled through the busy streets of Kakamega, captivating residents with its dazzling lights and vibrant atmosphere. The event, designed to embody the magic of the holidays, quickly became the talk of the town, with excited families eagerly anticipating the surprises it had in store.

Generosity was at the heart of the event, as Coca-Cola delighted the crowd with a range of festive gifts. Lucky winners walked away with goats (mbuzi), chickens (kuku), fish, flour, and festive hampers, perfect for celebrating the upcoming Christmas festivities. The giveaways sparked joy, with families feeling the warmth of the season’s spirit as they received these thoughtful gifts.

Among the beneficiaries was Ishmael Yahuma, a Kakamega resident, who shared his heartfelt gratitude after receiving a goat and other generous gifts for his family.

“I came to town to run errands, and when I saw the Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan at Quickmart, I decided to check it out—only to win a goat and other giveaways,” Mr. Yahuma exclaimed. “It’s not easy to decide whether to take the tickets or the random gifts offered by the MCs, but I’m truly thankful. This is a Christmas miracle.”

Mr. Yahuma also took the opportunity to encourage fellow Kenyans to embrace the spirit of giving, urging them to share the joy of the holidays with their less fortunate neighbors. “Service to humanity is service to God. Let us celebrate together with our neighbors,” he said, emphasizing the importance of community and togetherness during this special time of year.

The Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan, inspired by the spirit of Santa Claus, has been traveling across Kenya since December 2, starting at Coca-Cola’s Embakasi plant in Nairobi.

The caravan has visited regions including Eastern, Mt. Kenya, Rift Valley, Western, and Nyanza, spreading joy and creating lasting memories for communities at every stop. The caravan’s journey has brought the magic of the holidays closer to thousands of families, strengthening bonds and fostering a sense of unity.
