Butere area Member of Parliament Tindi Mwale Urges Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Deputy Party leader Godfrey Osotsi to consider following party procedures when addressing internal matters.
Speaking in Butere during ODM office launching, Mwale sensitized the need of deputy party leader to convene a committee to address party issues rather than raising them in funerals.
“We have witnessed that Osotsi, who is our Deputy Party leader, is spreading a lot of rumors about Governor Barasa at the funerals. When there is a problem, call for a meeting and address the issue as elected leaders,” said Mwale.
On the other side,Mwale took issue with Siaya Governor James Orengo calling for respect of ODM leadership in Kakamega County. He alluded that Orengo’s recent speech in a funeral were uncalled-for. He urged leaders to be united and respect party officials.
“Orengo should either choose to be a governor or contest as a president if he really wants to comment on other governors’ issues. Let him desist from cheap politics of fault findings and focus on his areas of jurisdiction. We have been elected for service delivery,” he said.
Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa who graced the occasion affirmed his commitment to the party promising to open more offices to strengthen the party’s influence in Kakamega county. “I will work closely with all the leaders to increase party influence in Kakamega by opening offices in all 12 sub-counties,” said Barasa adding, “I don’t have time to exchange with political conmen and brokers who want to intrude into Kakamega’s political space.”
