Vihiga queens head coach Boniface Nyamu Nyamu says his charge has resumed training at Kidundu stadium ahead of CECAFA tournaments.
He said previously his charge missed the tournament after FIFA had burned Kenya from International matches.
“So missing that tournament, I know we have missed much out there and we need to do some serious work on our training,” Nyamunyamu said.
“Right now the entire team is fit, no injuries and am sure once we go for the tournament we will perform well,” he said.
The tactician was speaking to Star via the phone on Wednesday evening after the training.
He said once they are done with CECAFA tournaments he will embark on reinforcing the squad for the 2023/2024 season.
“As a club we have identified various players that we need, but we are yet to engage them as we are in this tournament first,” Nyamunyamu posed.
Zetech, Bunyore Starlets, Thika queens,Gaspo, Nakuru city queens,Wadadia ladies are on the move to strengthen their charge ahead of the 2023/2024 season.
For Ulinzi Starlets have said they won’t do any recruitment but put much pressure on the current players to up their game in 2023/2024 season.
Vihiga queens qualified for CECAFA tournaments after emerging as the top winners of Kenya Women Premier League in Kenya.
Gaspo ladies become the second runners up as Ulinzi starlets become the third runners up in the League.
