“It feels good to be a solution to God’s people. Am constructing houses for several needy families in Mumias West. I have my agents on the ground who upon receiving information of someone not having a house, they assess the situation and we act immediately,” Okanya told County Splash in an interview.

According to Okanya, the current leadership has failed to live as the per expectations of the electorate and therefore she was bringing on board solution based leadership for the people of Mumias West.

“This should not be misconstrued that am engaging in early campaigns as electioneering period will be in 2022. A good leader does not wait for elections to start working for the people in exchange of votes. Am just trying to put a smile on the faces of my people with the little resources I have,” said Okanya.

She called on other leaders in the area to join hands with her and work for the people.

“You don’t need to have a political seat to work for the people. You are a leader in your own sphere of influence and when we pull the little resources we have, we shall live a big impact on the ground,” said the nominated MCA.
